  1. SMS Terms and Conditions

Introduction: The Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) is committed to a safe working environment and utilizes SMS as a tool to notify employees of emergency situations. By assessing or using our services, including receiving SMS communications, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not engage with these services.

Purpose: These terms govern the use of text messaging for emergency alerts and critical information dissemination by the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) during emergency situations. 

Scope: This includes, but is not limited to, situations involving weather events, safety threats, building closures, or other events requiring immediate action. 

  1.  SMS Consent Communication:

By providing your consent to receive SMS communications, you acknowledge and agree to receive text messages from MAAC at the phone number you provide. The information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

  1. Types of SMS Communications:

If you have consented to receive text messages from MAAC, you may receive messages related to the following:

 

  • Inclement Weather Notifications

  • Building Closures

  • Emergency Notifications

  • Resolution Notifications

 

Example: “Hello All Staff,

This is an emergency notification for MAAC. Please refrain from coming into the office until further notice. Thank you.” (Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging at any time).

 

  1. Message Frequency:

Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 4 SMS messages per month related to emergencies and/or inclement weather. MAAC and HR leadership will asses the frequency need based on the situation.

 

Example:

"Message frequency may vary. You may receive up to 4 SMS messages per month regarding emergencies and/or inclement weather.”

 

  1. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging:

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

 

  1. Opt-In Method:

You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from MAAC in the following ways:

 

  • By submitting a form via Paycom

  • By checking the box below

 

  1. Opt-Out Method:

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list.

 

  1. Help:

If you are experiencing any issues, you can reply with the keyword HELP. Or you can get help directly by contacting human resources at 404-880-9323

 

 

  1. Standard Messaging Disclosures:

  • Message and data rates may apply.

  • You can opt-out at any time by texting “STOP.”

  • For assistance, text “HELP” or visit our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy page

 

  1. Liability:

We will not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use or non-use of emergency text messages, or any delays or failures in delivery.

 

  1. Modifications:

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. By continuing to engage with emergency messaging, you agree to be bound by any changes to these terms.

 

  1.  Compliance: We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including the TCPA and other relevant regulations.

 

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will only use the information you provide to communicate with you via SMS as outlined above. Your personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or as necessary to deliver the requested service. SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with any third party and affiliates for marketing purposes.
