Introduction
The Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, Inc., encourages employees to become involved in their communities, lending their voluntary support to the agency’s programs and departments that positively impact the quality of life for the youth and families served.
The following guidelines and expectations are for MAAC, employees that are serving as volunteers for agency sponsored initiatives, projects and events. It is important that volunteers understand and adhere to these guidelines to maintain a positive and productive experience for all involved.
Professionalism
All volunteers are expected to conduct themselves professionally in all interactions with community members, partners, youth/families, and fellow volunteers, etc. This includes treating every individual with respect, maintaining a neat and appropriate appearance, and acting in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.
MAAC may sponsor social or business-related events where alcohol may be served. As a volunteer, the use or consumption of alcohol during the event is not prohibited; however, if you choose to consume alcohol at such events, you must do so responsibly and maintain your obligation to conduct yourself properly and professionally.
Anti-Discrimination and Harassment
We are committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Volunteers must treat others with fairness, respect their diversity, and refrain from engaging in any form of discriminatory, intimidation, harassing behavior based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
