Amanda Phillips

Youth & Family Coordinator

Amanda is a dedicated Youth and Family Coordinator at MAAC with nearly a decade of child welfare experience. She began her career as a foster care case manager at DFCS for four years before working as the adoption coordinator at a special needs adoption agency. In addition to her work at MAAC, she also works part-time as an on-call sexual assault victim’s advocate for the Cottage in Athens. Amanda is certified to teach PATH (an adoption parent training course) and TACT-2 ( a safety intervention training course). Amanda first become familiar with MAAC through her job at DFCS and is very “excited to be a part of such an awesome team that encourages and supports children and families.”


Did You Know?
Amanda has made a remarkable personal transformation! She has adopted a more active lifestyle and has lost over 120 pounds so far, enjoying everything from hiking, running, weightlifting, and yoga to belly dancing!
