Jerica McCrary

Youth & Family Coordinator

Jerica McCrary is a Youth & Family Coordinator at MAAC and has been a member of the MAAC team since 2016. Before joining the MAAC family, Jerica worked for a partner agency. Along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Jerica has over 5 years of experience working in the human services field. She has worked in several capacities in the field, including roles such as: residential direct care worker, case manager, residential program director, and program administrator for residential facilities. Jerica notes that all of these roles have contributed to her professional growth and competence in the field. In December of 2016, Jerica will receive a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Justice Administration from Columbus State University. Jerica enjoys bringing people together, and truly believes that “It takes a village to raise a child.” Jerica has stated that she is honored to be a part of such a dynamic, forward-thinking, strengths-based team of outstanding professionals who are all passionate about advocating for our youth and families.

Did You Know?

Jerica was a special guest on the Montel Williams Show in May, 2006. Jerica was also a guest panelist and motivational speaker for Tavis Smiley’s 2006 Youth to Leaders Foundation Town Hall discussion where she had the opportunity to sit on the panel alongside Dr. Cornell West and Hill Harper. Lastly, Jerica is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
