| MAAC incorporates the High Fidelity Wraparound model when working with each youth. Specifically, this process utilizes community-based treatment for youth diagnosed with a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). Some key values of the model are that it is family-driven and has a youth-guided focus. The model allows for and encourages families and youth to have primary decision-making roles in their own care including, but not limited to, choosing services, determining goals, and determining effectiveness of treatment. The wraparound model works in a System of Care, referring to the coordinated network of systems and community-based supports, to eliminate obstacles in treatment. The average length of time a youth is enrolled in High Fidelity Wraparound is 12 months. It is individualized and can be fun! |
